Having a rest in Amed
The kids are still on holidays so what a great opportunity to redeem that voucher I won at the Triva night at school: 1 night accommodation at the Kembali Beach Bungalows in Amed.
So I load the youngest son and an overnight bag in the Jeep and 2.5 hours through lush eastern coast rice fields and mountain slopes and we find ourselves away from the noisy and busy Seminyak in the peaceful fishing village Amed.
Matthys and Sandra, a Dutch couple who moved to Bali two years ago with their two children, have created a beautiful oasis with 8 comfortable and tastefully decorated bungalows with fans, AC and private bathrooms in a colourful garden setting right at the beach.
The beds are very comfortable and the view is fantastic. The sea in front of you and Mountain Agung to the left.
The restaurant next to the pool is open all day and serves drinks, delicious simple food and fresh juices.
Friendly staff attends to all your needs promptly and the whole resort is very family friendly.
There are plenty of restaurants around which serve excellent meals, western and traditional.
Amed is known for it’s beautiful reef and a ship wreck and there are diving centres which take you out to sea.
And if you need to rent a car seat to get your little ones there safely, Bali Baby Equipment hire can rent a seat to you on a daily basis.
