Hi there.
The rainy season seam to have come and gone, late but with vengeance , and it feels like the piece before the storm.
High season is upon Bali and what a better way to enjoy a Sunday breakfast then at KuDeTa in Oberoi?
Tracey will entertain the kids with her crew from The “O” Party organizer (great for your kid’s birthday party by the way!!) under her “circus” tent while KDT puts on a BBQ for the little ones with Hot Dogs and Burgers, Gourmet stuff you have to know!! ( I have seen the odd parent asking for a burger!!)
So sit back, relax, watch the waves (don’t forget your kids!!) while the staff at KDT is looking after you.
Ok, a bit exi, but who cares? You are on holidays after all!!
Cheers, the Team from Bali Baby

So, the rainy season has graced us with it’s presence after all.
Well, better late, then never!!
In case you need to get out but don’t know what to do, visit the Shell Museum on Jl. Sunset.
The first in Indonesia, the most beautiful in the world, showing shells from all over the world.
Let The “Bali Shell Museum” show you the wonders of sea shells.

Maybe you even get inspired to take up a diving course at one of the many diving schools on Bali and see the beauty in reality. (as long as it is still possible!!)
My 13 year old son swears by it!!
Happy shelling, the team from Bali Baby Equipment Hire

Yep, it’s that time again on Bali that even the airport is closed for the day: Nyepi.
New Ogah Ogahs are being build in the Banyars to be carried around the streets the day before Nyepi, 15th March and shown off by their proud builders, young and old.
It is always such a great spectacular to watch.
So if you happen to be on Bali mid March, make your way down to the next crossing of your hotel/villa and watch the show. Or just follow the crowd.
Then enjoy a day of peace.
The only day of the year when even the Bali dogs seam know to be quiet to fool the nasty ghosts!!
Ach, what bliss!!
And just think about how much electricity is saved that day!!!
Selamat Hari Nyepi!!

Hi there.
Settled nicely into 2010 by now?
Well, we had a very cold start to the year since I took my little one to Germany due to my mum being sick.
Man, it was cold!
-10 when we arrived and we just made it out of there before the next cold-spell with minus 14 and flights being cancelled due to ice on the runway.
As it was, we watched some poor soul out there on a cherry picker with a high pressure hose defrosting the wings!!!
Anyway back on Bali and life is god.
Just heard of a new service in Melbourne : Little Eats.
Jemma, mother of one and expecting again, started a service looking for and reviewing kids friendly Cafes and Restaurant!!
I wish they had that when I had my kids in Sydney!!
Lots of other very useful information as well, check it out :
http://www.littleeats.com.au/
Well done Jemma.
Also, Nyepi falls on the 16th March this year so plan ahead.
Cheers, the team from Bali Baby
